This course is designed for people to complete the theory and assessment components at their own pace, at home or at work, via DVD ROM. Participants must then attend an assessment session to complete the practical CPR and bandaging assessments.

How do I complete an e-learning course?

Step 1: Theory Component
There are a number of chapters for each course. At the end of each chapter you complete a quiz realting to the content you have just covered.

Once you have successfully completed all chapters and quizzes, print out the Completion Certificate. Then contact Ignite Education either via phone 07 5559 5077 or via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so we can book you in for your practical side.  The practical side is run approx once a month at Mudgeeraba. It is important you do this as it must be handed to your instructor at your assessment session to confirm you have successfully completed the theory component.

Step 2: Practical Assessment
The second and final step is completing your practical assessment at an assessment centre with an accredited first aid instructor. Dependant on the course you choose to do, the required hours for an assessment are:

Perform CPR - 1 hour nominal duration
Apply First Aid and Provide Basic Emergency Life Support - 3 hours nominal duration

CURRENT DATES FOR MUDGEERABA FIRTH PARK: (subject to change) 8th June 2012, 30th June 2012 or 26th July 2012 - other dates could be sourced at other venues on the coast
