We are excited to announce that included in this course we are able to offer a 7 day P&O Tourism, Hospitality and Events Study Tour.
During this tour students will have the opportunity to take part in various activities including, back stage operations and show, shore excursions, galley tours, wine appreciation, ice and vegetable carving and much more.

Course Overview: This course will provide students with the essential skills in management and leadership, communication and customer service, operational planning, financial management, teamwork and develop business relationships. They will be exposed to a well-rounded course including food & beverage operations and event management. Students will also have the opportunity to network with leaders in the Hospitality and Tourism industry, including Sofitel Broadbeach, Village Road Show Theme Parks and Currumbin RSL to name a few.
Course details: the course consists of 28 units, 13 core units and 15 electives.
Duration: 40 weeks, 3 days per week, 9am to 3pm. + 2 days directed Learning.
Industry Placement: working with our industry partners the 36 industry shifts that are required to complete this course we hope to offer a wide variety of placements to the students. These partners include: yet to be confirmed

To be eligible, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident
- be 1 5 years old or over
- live in Queensland and have left school
- not already have or be enrolled in a certificate IV level or higher qualification
Payment Plans: If not paid in full payment plans will be offered and will incur a 5 % service fee on top of course fees. An upfront fee paid at enrolment of $500.00 with the option to pay the balance of 6 monthly instalments.

Resources Required: Set uniform of 2 white shirts+ black pants, 1 Ignite shirt – prices of these not yet available but trying to source items so they come under $200.00 per student.
Devices Required: Students will be required to bring their own Laptop with Microsoft office.
Travel Requirements: If under 18 students must have full permission from parent or guardian. Students must hold a current passport.
University Pathways: By completing this Diploma you will earn 8 units of Advanced Standing which equates to one year of a three year degree. Examples of choices you will have with Southern Cross University are, Bachelor of Business in Tourism and Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Business in Convention and Events
