CERTIFICATE III IN HOSPITALITY – SIT30616

Course Overview:

This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops.

Possible job outcomes include food and beverage attendant, espresso coffee machine operator, gaming attendant, bar attendant and waiter. Training can be provided in the workplace, on campus and or online.

Course Details: 15 units (7 core, 8 electives)

SITHFAB002 – Provide responsible service of alcohol
SITHFAB007 – Service of food and beverage
SITHFAB005 – Prepare and serve espresso coffee

Duration:

SCHOOL BASED TRAINEESHIP – if you are enrolled in a school based traineeship, this course will take 12 – 18 months.

CERTIFICATE III GUARANTEE PROGRAM – this course is be completed over 5 weeks full-time 4-5 days per week with Ignite organising your industry placement.

*To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

Be 15 years of age or older and a Queensland resident
Have finished secondary school or no longer at school
Be a an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Australian permanent resident residing in Queensland
Not hold, or currently be undertaking a Certificate III or higher qualification from 1 July 2013. Completed while at secondary school is acceptable.
Unemployed and seeking work, or working on a full-time, part-time or casual basis.
